Planning an event is not easy. Whether it is a big corporate event or a backyard birthday party, it comes with stress. I know.

For over ten years I was in charge of booking speakers for the school that I work at. It was difficult finding speakers in WNY unless you already knew their names. During that same time period, my wife and I served as the events coordinators for the small village in which we lived. We were in charge of an 11 festival outdoor event series and we had to book every aspect of the event including security, porta potties, entertainment and everything in between. Again, there was little in the line of resources to find all of these services. We used the internet, phone book (remember those?) and word of mouth to find each of those.

I often thought to myself, that I wished there was a good resource where everything was “under one roof”. That’s what we are trying to create here. A go-to place where you can find what you need to create a successful and memorable event. In addition to all of the listings for speakers, entertainers and event services, we’ll also post articles on cool ideas to help you make your event a special occasion, and as stress free as possible. We’ll also send out a regular (but not spammy) newsletter to let our followers know about our new additions and any new articles we’ve posted.

Most importantly, we’re hopeful to build a community, where we can share ideas on producing and promoting outstanding events in our region. We’ll take suggestions, guest posts, or any feedback that will help us deliver a better product.
