Christina Abt – Speaker

Christina is an accomplished author, newspaper columnist and PR/media consultant who founded and operates aBc Writing, Consulting and Event Services.

Campaign casualChristina has honed her writing skills for more than 17 years in her Heart and Soul op-ed column, which has been a staple of the WNY community in The Sun Newspaper and on special reprint permission in The Springville Journal, Lancaster Metro News, WNY Women Magazine and

Christina’s written work has been featured in national publications including an array of Chicken Soup Books and national equine publications, as well as The Buffalo News, Artvoice, Buffalo Spree, Traffic East, EVE and Living Prime Time Magazines.  Her first book, “Chicken Wing Wisdom: Western New York Stories of Family, Life and Food Shared Around the Table”, became a WNY best seller.  The book is an entertaining collection of stories about women, their innate sense of wisdom and the amazing ways that they share that wisdom through food. She has also recently completed her first novel, “Crown Hill”, soon to be published.

Expanding on her writing career, Christina has become well- known as a listener commentator and special reporter for NPR radio affiliate, WBFO (88.7 FM). She furthered her broadcast work with the launch of Buffalostyle Talk Radio on WECK (1230AM) and as WECK’s morning drive co-host, working with WNY radio icon, Tom Donahue.  The success of her radio work encouraged Christina to create companion Internet videos on Facebook and YouTube (  Christina recently served as the Emcee for TEDxBuffalo Women.  It is a role to which she was well-suited, since promoting women and their talents has been one of her life long endeavors.

Public service has always played a large part in Christina’s life, as evidenced by her volunteer work as President of the Eden Chamber of Commerce, a founding member of Vets HERD, organizer, co-writer of Love Knows No Boundaries, (a song dedicated to funding a Flight 3407 memorial site), board member of the Clarence Flight 3407 Memorial Committee and in her recent candidacy for the New York State Assembly.

As a sought after public speaker, Christina has been invited to address grade school children and senior citizens, business owners and young mothers.  She has delivered commencement addresses and award speeches, appearing in small church halls and convention banquet halls.  Yet no matter the topic, the audience or the venue, the end result is always the same.  Christina speaks from her heart and touches her listener’s souls.
